Club Night Information
The Albany Creek Swim Club (ACSC) conducts Club Nights for its members on Wednesday evenings throughout the swimming season (generally October to March inclusive, Term 1 and Term 4 of the school calendar). The purpose of Club Nights is to introduce the swimmer to the first step to competitive swimming, while also building club spirit and enjoying the relaxed social aspect with family and friends.
Swimmers race against their own personal best times (PB’s) alongside other swimmers of similar times. Age or gender is of no relevance in this level of competition. The focus is on practicing the skills learnt in training and improving speed in a swimmers own time. It also serves to educate swimmers and parents of swimming rules and protocols.
- If you would like to try out on Club Nights you are welcome to come along and have “2 Free Club Nights” – this means you can swim in the 4 races at Club Night before paying your membership fees to join the Club. Unfortunately for insurance reasons, if you don’t register as a financial member after your “2nd Free Club Night” you will be unable to participate any further.
- Club Night will start on a Wednesday night at 6.30pm sharp. Please be set up and on pool deck by 6.15pm ready to go.
- If you wish for your child to swim at Club Night, nominations are lodged electronically via the Club’s website. Nomination cut off time is 6pm Monday. No Nomination No Swim.
- If you are new to the Club and can not nominate online, please arrive at the pool at 6pm to nominate at the nomination table on Wednesday night.
